Disc-O-Mulch

This compact disc harrow with integral press roller is designed for high speed, shallow stubble cultivation's. Its able to evenly mix and incorporate crop residue and encourages rapid weed and volunteer seed germination.

3D Disc Mounting System

Each disc is mounted on a heavy duty pig tail tine, this allows movement in all directions allowing obstacles to be avoided. This spring system also stores energy delivering it back to the soil surface for better penetration in tough working conditions. This action causes the spring to vibrate providing better penetration.

Individual Disc Mounting

Each disc is mounted using our patented 3D system, this allows each disc unit to follow ground contours and avoid obstructions without affecting the performance of the rest of the machine.

Obstruction under one of the front discs
Obstruction under one of the rear discs

Bigger leading discs
The front row of leading discs have a larger diameter than the rear row of discs. This mans there is more clearance at the front of the machine, better cutting action from the leading discs, better mixing action from the rear row of discs. Disc wear rates are also more even between front and rear rows. Specifications including disc sizes across the range can be found here.

Additional Disc

An additional side disc is fitted to all Disc-O-Mulch machines, the angle of this disc can be individually adjusted to ensure homogeneous work by preventing ridging between bouts.

Clod breaking boards

Clods thrown up by the first row of discs are thrown against a unique patented clod board, this breaks up the clods and ensures that all the material is back on the soil surface before second row of discs pass. This ensures that everything is cultivated by both rows of discs.

Mulcher discs

As an option the Disc-O-Mulch can be fitted with 'Mulcher' discs. Exclusively available on Agrisem products these discs are better able to mulch crop resides and are self cleaning in wet conditions. Further more as the mulching profile extends up the disc the quality of work does not deteriorate as the disc wears thus the working life of the disc is extended.

Bearing Options

SR Bearings

All Silver and Gold machines are supplied as standard with our SR hub. The SR hub is maintenance free and uses 80mm bearings and 4 bolt (M16) disc mounting. Standard equipment on the Platinum range are the SRE bearings, these are also maintenance free but utilise a 100mm bearing and have the possibility of 8 bolt (M16) fixing which is required for 'Mulcher discs.

Rear Rollers

V-Sem
Steel Packer
Agrix
The V-sem roller comprises angled press rings for consolidation, between each press ring is a finger which not only prevents blockage but also lightly presses the area between the roller rings to give even consolidation aiding the establishment of volunteers.
The massive 700mm diameter steel packer roller has great clod breaking abilities, it forces stones below the soil surface and consolidates to depth.
The Agrix rubber ring roller leaves a weatherproof finish Its rubber constriction and scrapper bar ensure its clean running.
