All KRM salt spreaders are positively bristling with innovative features to ensure the machine is simple to use, easy to set, gives an accurate application rate and spread pattern and stands the test of time.

Spreading Mechanism

Four spreading vanes distribute the material evenly, the vanes are manufactured from manganese steel for increased wear resistance. Stainless steel is used to produce all key parts of the spreader including the disc, regulating mechanism and linkage to protect them from the corrosive nature of salt and grit. All parts not stainless are "flexi coat" powder painted, this paint finish is thicker and 30 times more corrosion resistant than traditional wet paint.

Heavy Duty Agitator

The heavy duty agitator ensures an even flow of material onto the disc. This is achieved as the agitator not only extends up the hopper but also keeps material in the hopper base moving and features a replaceable knife to chop any lumps as they leave the hopper.

Easy Spread Adjust

The spread pattern can easily be adjusted to be central or biased to either the left or right hand side of the machine, particularly useful when spreading roadways.

Shroud / Skirt

The spread width is quickly and easily adjusted by a single lever which alters the position of the shroud. The spread width can be reduced right down to the width of the machine approx. 1m by fitting a skirt (supplied as standard) to the bottom of the shroud, ideal for narrow paths and walkways.

Blockage prevention

All KRM salt spreaders come fitted with top mounted screens as standard, these prevent solid lumps of material and foreign objects from entering the hopper, especially useful when spreading a material supplied in bulk.
